~This discussion will not spoil any parts of the game~

So I have been hearing a lot of chatter on the internet about hate over this game. From the story being bad, to the game being boring.

I’m a little over 10 hours in and I’m absolutely loving this game. Would i go so far as to say it’s better than the first? I don’t know yet, I haven’t beaten it yet. However, a full in depth review will come when I finish this game later this week.

Now, to the hate. The story is terrific, I don’t know why people are saying it’s bad. Without spoiling anything, it’s basically a revenge story with little flashbacks thrown into the mix to better develop characters. These little moments are handle extremely well and the overall feel of the game is like a movie. Like Uncharted 4, the game feels like an interactive movie. Something I really like when games do.

The game play being boring hate that I’m reading is justifiable in some ways. Although I think it’s amazing and very deliberate in some cases. I know the hate is coming from the game having slow and fast scenes and not being very consistent. But that’s the point people! The slow scenes are supposed to be slow and quiet because it makes the fast and loud scenes jarring. The game is supposed to make you feel that way! Before I get even angrier at the hate comments I just want to say that I bet the people saying these things are used to fast and loud games like COD and Battlefield. What I’m trying to say is they’re not used to narrative driven games, and when met with one like this, they aren’t sure how to react so they spew hate saying the game is bad. They’re are also other hate comments saying that the game is pandering to Social Justice Warriors, but that is just plain wrong.
